The Meeting Point is at San Basilio Boat Stop at 9.00 am.
Deadline for confirmation: Friday, April 18th, 3 pm.
The boat trip includes visits to the Industrial Port and two islands of the lagoon: Pellestrina and S. Erasmo.
This activity is compulsory for the courses “History of Venice” (Prof. Pes), “Coastal Wetlands” (Prof. Marani), “Cities, Global Change” (Prof. Turvani/Costa) and “Globalization, Environment and Sustainable Development” (Prof. Musu). The trip is open to all students and professors.
If you want to participate, please sign up in the list on the door of corridor 9 (only if you didnt’t already sign in class). For those who are not from the courses mentioned above, the cost of the visits is 2 euros, we will collect them on Friday on the boat.
Since there are no bars in Sant’Erasmo, we recommend to take a packed lunch with you; it will be a nice occasion for a picnic on the beach!!
Detailed program
9.30 am – Departure from San Basilio
9.30 am – 11.30 am – Tour of the Industrial Port and Arrival at Pellestrina
11.30 – 1.00 pm – Visit to the Museum of the Lagoon and Murazzi
1.15 – 1.30 pm Route from Pellestrina to Sant’Erasmo and sightseeing of the Mose system (Bocca di Lido)
1.45-2.00 pm – Arrival at Sant’Erasmo and lunch break
3.15 pm – 4 pm Visit to the Torre Massimiana
4.15 pm – Departure from Sant’Erasmo and Arrival at San Basilio around 5.15 pm.
