This activity is compulsory for students attending the course F1624 Economics and Management of the Arts .
It is open to a small number of other interested students or faculty.

Program:
Meeting Point 9.15 outside the Mestre train station with Prof. Nuccio
- urban walk through Mestre Centro and the sightseeing of urban landmarks
- Presentation of the M9 Museum and the visit to the construction site
- group work on urban development
- 13.15 estimated time of ending of the visit in Mestre

Costs: the workshop is free of charge

ATTENDANCE

This visit is compulsory for students attending the courses Art & Architecture in Renaissance Venice and suggested for students attending Training in UNESCO World Heritage Studies.

PROGRAM

We will visit some major monuments of the city, including Palladio Museum, the beautiful Olympic Theatre and the outstanding Palladian Basilica.

COSTS

Students attending the courses Art & Architecture in Renaissance Venice and Training in UNESCO World Heritage Studies will have the visit sponsored by VIU.
For all other students and faculty, the total participation fee is 21 euro. 9 €: entrance tickets + 12 €: regional train tickets (round trip).

Declared a World Heritage by UNESCO in 1994, Vicenza’s main feature is its superb architecture: behind its uniqueness stands only one name: Andrea Palladio, whose architectural genius allowed the realization of majestic and elegant buildings that we can still admire today.

“Joiners” – Creative photography workshop

This workshop is aimed at discovering David Hockney’s photo collage technique, known as the joiners, putting it into practice through the realization of your own joiner.

An introductory lecture will let you learn more about this very peculiar technique.
Hence, you will join the on-site photography workshop, in order to create afterwards your own joiner photo collage in IUAV studio.

ADMISSION

The introductory lecture is open to all interested students and faculty.
The joiners project realization (Nov. 19 and Nov. 23) is open to 10 participants only. Admission will be on a first-come-first served basis: you may sign up on the list posted in the classrooms corridor.
