Visit to Pellestrina, Murazzi and Ca’ Roman

N.B. The visit is compulsory for students enrolled in:
Prof. Pes’course S1701 – History of Venice
Prof. Silvestri’s course S1720 – Coastal Wetlands, Lagoon and Estuaries: Environmental Monitoring and Management.

20 extra places are still available for any student and professor interested!

If you wish to participate, please sign in the list in corridor 9 or come to the Front Office before Wednesday 22, 3 pm.
The visit is sponsored by the VIU for students attending the mentioned courses, whereas for those who are not enrolled in these courses the fee is 15 euros per person.                                            

The entrance fee must be brought at VIU Front Office before Wednesday 22 at 3 pm.

Program:
9.30 am departure from Zattere “Gesuati” dock. We will depart with a private boat: please be punctual!
During the trip we will visit:
– The Industrial Port of Venice;
– Pellestrina island and the Museum of the Lagoon;
– Murazzi;
– Ca’ Roman Natural reserve.
5.00 pm Return expected  at S. Servolo dock.

Suggestions:
Wear conformable clothes and shoes since we are going to walk.
After the guided visit to the Ca’ Roman Nature Reserve, there will be time (little less than an hour) to visit the reserve by yourself,  to have a little pic-nic or to play on the beach. Therefore you can bring your sandwiches, frisbees, balls, etc..

Bring your own packed lunch since the lunch break will be at the natural reserve Ca’ Roman.
