3-VIU outside VIU: what happens during the co-curricular activities? What about your midterm trip in Italy and Europe? Because travelling is the greatest way to get to know the others.

Students can submit a maximum of 4 pictures (per category), taken using any device at your disposal, with the least editing possible and/or

one single video of 5 min max., edited using every technique you want. You can add everything, from subtitles to soundtrack, video effects or whatever your creativity suggests!

Friday, December 13, 2013        9.30am – 5.00 pm

San Servolo Island

This International Workshop concerns the increasingly important issue of Food Security and the broader challenge of Sustainable Agriculture, in a world where the demand for not only the quantity but also the quality of food is increasing. The event has been organized in partnership with the School of Asian Studies and Business Management and the Department of Economics, Ca’ Foscari University Venice.

greening the green revolution

The Workshop is inspired by the “Save and Grow” program recently launched by FAO, which aims to build a sustainable agriculture moving from the clear evidence that, although agriculture based on the intensive use of inputs has increased global food production and average per capita food consumption, also significantly reducing the number of chronically hungry, this has implied depletion of natural resources, negative environmental pressures, contributing to the climate change problem.

Music of the 20th Century – seminar with live performance

Music Lecture Ezio & Anna

Wednesday, Dec 11th (Part 2), room 1G, 5 pm

“Music of the 20th Century” – seminar with live performance

This event has been organized in cooperation with the Wolf-Ferrari Musical Association.

At the end of this second meeting, “The Rite of Spring” will be played entirely. The execution will be performed by Ezio and Anna Lazzarini, piano four hands, playing Stravinsky’s transcription, which is the re-writing of a work of music as a faithful adaptation. The piano, more than any other, can reproduce any instrument from the entire orchestra, from the piccolo to the double bass.  In this case, it is more than ever useful since the orchestral score is particularly complicated and difficult to understand.

The event will take place in room 1G, at 5 pm.
