Visit to Venice Lagoon, Pellestrina, Murazzi, Ca’ Roman

Meeting point: 9am at the San Servolo boat stop
We will travel throught the Venice Lagoon by private boat and visit:
the MOSE (new artificial barrier to protect the lagoon)
the Museum of South Lagoon in Pellestrina,
the Murazzi (lagoon barrier system)
the natural oasis in Ca’ Roman.
We plan to return to San Servolo at about 3.30 pm.
The visit is open to all VIU students and faculty. The cost of the visit is 15 euro per person and includes transportation and the entrance tickets.
The visit is compulsory for students of the courses “History of Venice” and “Training in UNESCO World Heritage”. For students attending one of these courses, the visit is sponsored by VIU.
To participate, sign the list on the door of the classroom corridor and bring the participation fee to the Front Office by Tuesday, October 13th at 3 pm.
