For centuries it covered three important functions: Doge’s residence, seat of the government and courthouse. It’s here that some of the most important decisions for Venice and, sometimes, Europe’s destiny were taken. Doge’s Palace preserves still today the charm of one of the most magnificent buildings ever built, which gave birth to countless myths about Venice and its government.
